Newsletter #4: Dedicated To Alice Munro
Hello.
We are currently waiting for Alex Trithart’s debut collection of poetry “Lose Touch Completely” to arrive in the mail from the printers. As soon as we receive and process them, we can start selling them immediately. Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in giving us your money, we will gladly take your money when the time comes for you to give us your money.
Now for what also matters:
UPCOMING NUT HOLE PUBLISHING PROJECTS:
The first English translation of Michel Houellebecq’s text of essays ‘Rester Vivant: et autres textes’. Originally published in 1991, we will be translating and distributing the core of the essay collection, based off the 1998 version as originally published by Librio.
A podcast episode of NO FICTIONS REFUSED featuring Elijah Gibson! Our second episode, and one we are very much looking forward to.
Printing out 100 copies of Elijah Gibson’s poem “Holding The Door” and posting it widely around the Seattle and Olympia area. The relevancy of the text truly seems to grow with age.
A zine! Featuring one piece from every Nut Hole Publishing writer thus far, minus the editor’s (me, Alden Nagel lol) as I’m already putting together the damn thing. Isn’t that more than enough of a contribution?
Merch (shirts, bookmarks, pins, etc.) as previously noted in the last newsletter. This is down the line, but is still coming.
That’s all that for now.
Finally, goodnight to the beloved author Alice Munro. We dedicate our thoughts and efforts in her name today. For your beautiful prose, for your humanity, for your fire of love in all things you touched, and to your dream of life itself — we dedicate today to you, Alice.
